Online Ordering 101

ENABLING ONLINE ORDERING



General

Under the general tab of the system you will find the basic set up information to configure on how the merchant will process the online order.

The items that you will like to have shown under the online order will be assigned under the PRODUCTS tab in the dashboard. See Products for more information.


Note An Order

The notes for the online order as turned on as default, this will allow the person ordering to add any notes they need for the order. If you would like to deactivate this function click the box next to Enable Ticket Note.



Accept or Decline an Order

The systems is set at 60 second as a default to accept the online order under the QOrder app. Someone will need to manually accept the order as is being sent to the system. If you want the system to automatically receive the order and process it enter 0. The system will now send the order to the prep station set up for the items ordered based on configuration for PICKUP or DELIVERY.

**In order for this function to work you will need a tablet to run the acceptance order along with Qorder.**




Order with Pickup

  • The system will allow you to select if you will like to put the order on hold or send it automatically to the prep station. The first selection allows you to send it to the prep area at a specified time based on the pick up criteria. This is helpful when orders are being sent hours ahead of time as the order will not sit for a long period of time. 
  • You can bypass any hold time and let the system automatically sending the order to the prep area by selecting SEND IMMEDIATELY.
  • You can also allow a time window from the current time to the actual pick up time. In example current time is 7:00pm with a 15 min the earliest the customer can select the time for pick up will be 7:15pm.
  • ALLOW TO COMPLETE ORDER W/O PAY will allow the customer to order online without having to enter a payment method at the checkout screen. By default this is left off so that customers are required to ask for a payment before the order is placed. Below is a sample of the options assigned to the Web portal for the customer to see.




Order with Delivery

  • Accepted Delivery Orders - can be delayed as well as Pickup orders, by default the delivery option is turned off, you will allow the delivery by Delivery Region.
  • Send Order - to the prepare area will hold the order until the time you assign it before the delivery time, Allow the customer to choose the delivery time by increasing or decreasing the time from current time.
  • Delivery Fee  - This feature allows you to add an additional fee for delivery by a set amount or a percentage of the total amount of the purchase.
  • Delivery Region - By default is set to  0  to deactivate delivery option from the online system. You can allow delivery based on multiple Postal Codes or Radius based on Miles or KM.
  • Minimum Order Amount - You can set a minimum amount for deliveries to be eligible. By default the system is set to 0 if you want to leave it open without having minimum leave it at 0.



Order with In-House QR Code

The below selections will allow you to give permissions to the customers if you will be using QR codes for the tables. By default all of these features are off.

Note: QR Codes will need to generated from the Full Service Layout


        


Set Tip Suggestions

You can allow the customer to add a tip to the order at the time they place an order online. By default this feature is turned on if you will like to turn this off click on the SHOW TIP SUGGESTIONS box. The amounts listed can also be modified to your specific needs.



Enter Decimal Quantity

This feature is left blank by default, by allowing to enter a decimal amount you will give the customer permission to enter a full number along with a decimal quantity. EX Tip 15.5%



Open Time / Hours

This feature is for PICK UP orders

  • You can set a time as to when you want to be able to allow customers to create an order online for a single day for PICK UP. 
  • The system will allow you to create different time windows by adding more hours to the day by clicking ADD MORE HOURS
  • If you want to show closed for a specific day you can click on CLOSED.




Delivery Time

  • You can set a time as to when you want to be able to allow customers to create an order online for a single day for DELIVERIES
  • The system will allow you to create different time windows by adding more hours to the day by clicking   ADD MORE HOURS
  • If you want to show closed for a specific day you can click on   CLOSED .
